Three large sparkling white diamonds (0.61cts) are caught in a ruffle of seaweed, suspended by the rocky, sea tumbled band. An artful, sculptural ring design, beautifully crafted, meticulously finished, with the organic shapes and textures of nature at its heart. Created in Cornwall and cast in 18ct gold using the traditional lost-wax process.

Size O 1/2, the first resize is complementary.

The diamond is the traditional birthstone of April and holds significant meaning for those born in that month, thought to provide the wearer with better relationships and an increase in inner strength. Wearing diamonds is purported to bring other benefits such as balance, clarity and abundance. It is also the gem that married couples traditionally gift on their 60th wedding anniversary.

The Designer

Emily Nixon's work is greatly shaped by living in West Cornwall. Beach finds are tools in the process of her making. "I love the fabric-like twists and folds of seaweed; the diversity in the contours of pebbles; the weathered character of flotsam I see washed up along the shore. This dichotomy of the precious and the organic – special stones encircled by sea-worn fragments of gold – characterises so much of my inspiration. At the heart of my work remains the sculpture and tapestry of my early fine art practice."
