Sapphire, the birthstone of September, is most desired in its pure, rich blue colour but is present in almost every colour including pink, yellow and green. In the Middle Ages the gem was believed to protect those close to you from harm and also represented loyalty and trust. It is also the gem that married couples traditionally gift on their 45th wedding anniversary.
The Designer
Heidi makes fine jewellery with a timeless aesthetic that speaks to our shared human history. Heidi's traditional stone and metal working practices aim to reveal the beauty of the raw materials.
Heidi begins by sourcing gemstones for their unique physical beauty, colour and essence. She hand-cuts and shapes the raw semi-precious stones and carefully selects cut sapphires, rubies, and diamonds. The stones are used individually or made into complimentary arrangements.
After sculpting a form in wax, she then transforms it using the ancient technique of lost wax casting, into precious metals. The final piece is assembled and the stones are set in their place.
Jewellery Care
To look after your jewellery we recommend it must not be worn in the bath, shower or whilst swimming and we advise any perfume or hairspray is to be applied before putting on your jewellery to avoid contact with chemicals and cosmetics. Please remove your jewellery before engaging in practical activities such as sport.
