Blue Sapphire Sea Urchin Pendant
This one-of-a-kind pendant sits elegantly along the collar bone on a delicate 18 inch Hayseed Chain. The urchin's central spike is a sapphire from the Gemfields in Queensland, Australia, which was mined by Clio herself in 2016, set in recycled 18ct yellow gold.
Sapphire, the birthstone of September, is most desired in its pure, rich blue colour but is present in almost every colour including pink, yellow and green. In the Middle Ages the gem was believed to protect those close to you from harm and also represented loyalty and trust. It is also the gem that married couples traditionally gift on their 45th wedding anniversary.
