Silver and Garnet Spaghetti Ring
Swirls of coiled silver hold a show-stopping deep red garnet stone with a tapered rub over setting to enhance and frame the stone. Using traditional reticulation and forging techniques, each piece is handmade in London.
As the birthstone for January, garnet is said to bring love, luck, health, loyalty and friendship to people who are born this month. It is also the gem that married people traditionally gift on their 2nd and 18th wedding anniversary.

The Designer
Disa Allsopp is fascinated by ancient civilisations that worked in metal like the Egyptians and Etruscans. She uses hand hammering, forging and reticulation techniques in 18ct gold and silver to give a luxurious textured finish with a sense of history. Metal is left in it’s natural state, often rugged and patinated for an earthy finish. By incorporating gleaming jewels in rich colours she adds to the treasure-like quality, as if discovering an ancient hoard.
Born in London, Disa grew up in Barbados and studied at Middlesex University with a Postgraduate in Jewellery at Edinburgh College of Art & Design. Disa originally set up a workshop in Barbados and then returned to London in 1996 where she currently designs and makes all her jewellery.
