Soft indigo blue matte and shiny glass loops with a subtle dusting of gold leaf, each individually handmade by Olga Alianova using lampworking and glassblowing technique, with sterling silver loops and ear hooks. Earring full length 5cm.

The Designer

Olga Alianova specialises in lampworking, a passion passed down through generations. Taught by her mother, Elena Hernburg, an internationally renowned master lampworker, Olga became captivated by the medium early on. Countless hours at the torch honed her technique and deepened her connection to glass as a storytelling material.

Originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia (often called the “Venice of the North”) she later travelled to Murano, Italy, to study traditional Venetian glassblowing. This ancient craft transformed her approach, allowing her to shape vivid colours and forms into contemporary creations.

Her process is a modern alchemy: soft (soda-lime) glass fused with enamels, precious metals, and mineraloids, resulting in distinctive, expressive works.
