Alma Sophia

Alma Sophia's journey into the realm of jewellery began in the breathtaking landscapes of Norway. Now based in London, Alma is renowned for her sculptural designs, minimalist aesthetic, and meticulous craftswomanship. She became a goldsmith in Norway where she built up a respect for materials, emphasise detail, and practice patience in her craft. This was followed by two transformative years at University for the Creative Arts, Rochester.

After graduating, Alma moved to London, and now has a studio at Cockpit Arts in Bloomsbury. Sculptural form is central to her design, and she often works with square tubes, which have become her signature style. The squares are combined in various ways, and the repetitive forms create new wholes. Due to the handmade process, the shapes take on an organic quality, so no form is exactly alike.
