Amanda Coleman
Amanda Coleman grew up in the creative surroundings of a craft centre in Staunton Harold, Leicestershire, where her parents were potters and painters. Surrounded by blacksmiths, instrument makers, and artisan bakers, she began making and selling clay animals and polymer clay buttons to local shops from a young age.
Her passion for making led her to study 3D Design at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, where she discovered a love for jewellery-making. After a residency at Bishopsland Workshops, she earned a Master’s degree in Goldsmithing and Jewellery from the Royal College of Art in London.
Since graduating in 1998, Amanda has developed her own distinctive jewellery collections, supported by the Crafts Council and Prince’s Youth Business Trust. Now based in Lincoln with her husband and workshop partner, and their two children, her designs continue to evolve—drawing inspiration from nature, fairytales, and the whimsical perspectives of motherhood.
