Ouroboros Oxidised Silver Snake Necklace With Amethyst
A hand-carved oxidised sterling silver ouroboros snake is coiled round a cabochon amethyst and attached on a chain, with a small star charm attached in the end of the chain. Chain length 18 inches.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February, and is said to strengthen relationships and give its wearer courage. At one time, only royalty could wear the gem. Ancient Greeks thought that the amethyst guarded against intoxication. In fact, “amethyst” comes from amethystos, a Greek word meaning “sober.” It is also the gem that married people traditionally gift on their 33rd wedding anniversary.
