Heidi Hockenjos

Heidi makes fine jewellery with a timeless aesthetic that speaks to our shared human history. Heidi's traditional stone and metal working practices aim to reveal the beauty of the raw materials. Heidi begins by sourcing gemstones for their unique physical beauty, colour and essence. She hand-cuts and shapes the raw semi-precious stones and carefully selects cut sapphires, rubies, and diamonds. The stones are used individually or made into complimentary arrangements. After sculpting a form in wax, she then transforms it using the ancient technique of lost wax casting, into precious metals. The final piece is assembled and the stones are set in their place.
