Margaux Clavel

Taking inspiration from the past - mainly architectural ornaments, textures and patterns -  and using a unique cast metal gemstone aesthetic and bright contrasting colours, Margaux creates modern textured heirlooms with a playful take on traditional jewellery pieces. Growing up in France and travelling as a child, Margaux was captivated by the opulence of sacred buildings: the overloaded altars, the smell of beeswax and incense, the carved columns, the coloured stained glass, the gold frames; by the rich archaeological museum collections, by the tales of ancient civilisations. From the stories of her grandparents’ childhood in Egypt, to the days her father spent working in a glass cutting workshop, this is where her love for precious antique treasures and traditional craftsmanship was born.

"I aim to design the magical jewellery pieces we will always need, the modern talismans we cherish and pass on, the precious and meaningful objects we feel deeply emotionally connected to." - Margaux Clavel
