Oxidised Silver Wax Seal Justice Charm

Wax seal necklace charm made in oxidised sterling silver with scales depicting Justice and part of a series of charms for our Vices & Virtues showcase. The wax seal charms are inspired by the 'Cardinal Virtues'. Each charm represents one of the fundamental moral principles: Wisdom (prudence), Justice, Courage (fortitude) and Temperance. The cardinal virtues are four essential moral principles that form the foundation for ethical living. They originate from classical philosophy, initially introduced by Plato and systemically expounded by Aristotle. The Stoics also recognised them.

Momocreatura’s jewellery explores the boundaries between reality and fantasy.

A member of the national association of jewellers, Momocreatura uses silver-smithing skills to create delicate pieces which bring to life traditional fairy stories and folk-tales. The silver and gold pieces are hand-crafted as wearable miniature sculptures full of character and dark humour. They captivate the imagination, inspired by stories which were originally intended to present moral queries, their characters often meeting a grisly fate in order to learn life lessons. With her delicate touch and precious materials, Momocreatura celebrates these fables in exquisite detail.
