Tiny Ruby Studs

Super sweet and super sparkly; teeny tiny ear-studs handmade in recycled 9ct yellow Gold with sun-ray detail and beautiful, ethically sourced Rubies. A timeless classic style with a little pop of colour, perfect for everyday.

Each stud is 5mm in diameter with a 1.5mm stone. 

Ruby, the birthstone of July, is known as the “king of precious stones” for its rarity, hardness (second only to diamond), beauty and seemingly mystical powers. Long associated with the life force blood, ruby was a symbol of power and youthful energy in ancient jewellery. It is also the gem that married couples traditionally gift on their 40th wedding anniversary.

The Designer

Mim Best is a contemporary jewellery designer who specialises in making unique one-off pieces.

Mim graduated in 1998 with a degree in Applied Arts where she experimented with all aspects of 3D design and developed a broad knowledge, working with materials such as concrete, wood and perspex, alongside precious metals.  

Mim takes much of her inspiration from simple shapes, pattern, print and surface textures; always seeking to find interesting details and beauty in the banal.  She is also fascinated with ancient and antique jewellery across all cultures from all over the world and finds this to be a continual source of inspiration.

Jewellery Care 

To look after your jewellery we recommend it must not be worn in the bath, shower or whilst swimming and we advise any perfume or hairspray is to be applied before putting on your jewellery to avoid contact with chemicals and cosmetics. Please remove your jewellery before engaging in practical activities such as sport.
