This beautiful rustic pendant has a pear shaped cabochon amethyst in a bezel setting, with delicate molten discs on each side and a matching molten T bar clasp, strung on a delicate 20 inch chain. All handmade in sterling silver with 24ct gold vermeil.

Amethyst is the birthstone of February, and is said to strengthen relationships and give its wearer courage. At one time, only royalty could wear the gem. Ancient Greeks thought that the amethyst guarded against intoxication. In fact, “amethyst” comes from amethystos, a Greek word meaning “sober.” It is also the gem that married people traditionally gift on their 33rd wedding anniversary.

Jewellery Care

To look after your jewellery we recommend it must not be worn in the bath, shower or whilst swimming and we advise any perfume or hairspray is to be applied before putting on your jewellery to avoid contact with chemicals and cosmetics. Please remove your jewellery before engaging in practical activities such as sport.

Gold vermeil is a thick layer of gold over 925 sterling silver, while the gold will not fade, it may tarnish if in contact with cosmetics.

Please get in touch to enquire about our cleaning services and restoring surface finishes.
