Shadow Chain

As part of the Shadow Chain series, this gleaming 18ct yellow gold plated silver chain has been created with direction from the sun's beams. Each hand formed link is created from the shadow of the previous link. By guiding the shadow links around a circular form, a free flowing form of interconnected links is realised.

The Designer 

Lizzy Manders from ERM Studio honed her creative practice at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art. Lizzy works directly with precious metals to create her sculptural, abstract jewellery that aims to capture moments of randomness that occur in the making process. Each piece is handmade, often following the fluidity of line, creating uniquely dynamic pieces.

"Working intuitively with precious metal wire, my artistic process playfully explores the nature of chance and spontaneity. By capturing transient moments in material expressions, I work collaboratively with my surroundings, people and nature, to express pure forms. Fleeting lines are suspended in time to become permanent treasures"

Jewellery Care 

To look after your jewellery we recommend it must not be worn in the bath, shower or whilst swimming and we advise any perfume or hairspray is to be applied before putting on your jewellery to avoid contact with chemicals and cosmetics. Please remove your jewellery before engaging in practical activities such as sport.
