Trini Tourmaline and Diamond Charm Hoops
Add a touch of sparkle and elegance with these detachable green trillion tourmaline (0.87ct total) and oval diamond (0.67cts total) charm hoops on a polished 14ct gold hoop with a tiny white diamond set stopper. The charms can be removed so that the gold hoops can be worn alone.
Tourmaline is one of the birthstones of October, and is the more durable of the two, its counterpart being opal. Tourmaline has been said to be a stone of reconciliation, a stone that fosters compassion and cool headedness, healing and friendship. It also creates a commitment towards the completion of one’s goals and is said to protect the wearer against dangers. It is also the gem that married couples traditionally gift on their 8th wedding anniversary.
The Designer
Since graduating with an MA from London's Central St Martins, Flora has explored her connections with India through her signature sculptural designs. Investigating ancient mythology, memory and personal history, Flora creates recognisably bold and feminine jewellery. Each collection takes us on a journey, revealing an underlying symbolism and meaning personal to the wearer. Her jewellery is crafted from recycled gold and vibrant gems in small editions and of a kind design from her London studio.
"I fell in love with jewellery early when I was given an ancient craved bird at an archaeological site in Taxila. I kept my little bird close and it encapsulates my passion for India and its ancient mythology."
